ਜੈਸੇ ਤਉ ਸਕਲ ਨਿਧਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਮੁੰਦ੍ਰ ਬਿਖੈ ਹੰਸ ਮਰਜੀਵਾ ਨਿਹਚੈ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦੁ ਪਾਵਹੀ ।
jaise tau sakal nidh pooran samundr bikhai hans marajeevaa nihachai prasaad paavahee |Just as treasures of pearls and diamonds are found in the sea, but only a seasoned evaluator of these precious stones who can dive deep into the bottom of sea can surely enjoy the pleasure of picking them up from there.
ਜੈਸੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਹੀਰਾ ਮਾਨਕ ਪਾਰਸ ਸਿਧ ਖਨਵਾਰਾ ਖਨਿ ਜਗਿ ਵਿਖੇ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਵਹੀ ।
jaise parabat heeraa maanak paaras sidh khanavaaraa khan jag vikhe pragattaavahee |Just as mountains have diamonds, rubies and philosopher stones those can purify metals into gold, but only an adept excavator can bring them out before the world.
ਜੈਸੇ ਬਨ ਬਿਖੈ ਮਲਿਆਗਰ ਸੌਧਾ ਕਪੂਰ ਸੋਧ ਕੈ ਸੁਬਾਸੀ ਸੁਬਾਸ ਬਿਹਸਾਵਹੀ ।
jaise ban bikhai maliaagar sauadhaa kapoor sodh kai subaasee subaas bihasaavahee |Just as a jungle has many aromatic trees like sandalwood, camphor etc., but only a perfumery expert can bring their fragrance out.
ਤੈਸੇ ਗੁਰਬਾਨੀ ਬਿਖੈ ਸਕਲ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਹੈ ਜੋਈ ਜੋਈ ਖੋਜੈ ਸੋਈ ਸੋਈ ਨਿਪਜਾਵਹੀ ।੫੪੬।
taise gurabaanee bikhai sakal padaarath hai joee joee khojai soee soee nipajaavahee |546|Similarly Gurbani has all the precious items but whosoever would search and research them, he would be rewarded with those items that he so fondly desires. (546)
