ਜੈਸੇ ਮਦ ਪੀਅਤ ਨ ਜਾਨੀਐ ਮਰੰਮੁ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਪਾਛੈ ਮਤਵਾਰੋ ਹੋਇ ਛਕੈ ਛਕ ਜਾਤਿ ਹੈ ।

jaise mad peeat na jaaneeai maram taa ko paachhai matavaaro hoe chhakai chhak jaat hai |

Just as a man drinking wine is unaware of its effect on him and he keeps consuming more till he falls unconscious.

ਜੈਸੇ ਭਾਰਿ ਭੇਟਤ ਭਤਾਰਹਿ ਨ ਭੇਦੁ ਜਾਨਹਿ ਉਦਿਤ ਅਧਾਨ ਆਨ ਚਿਹਨਿ ਦਿਖਾਤ ਹੈ ।

jaise bhaar bhettat bhataareh na bhed jaaneh udit adhaan aan chihan dikhaat hai |

ਕਰਿ ਪਰਿ ਮਾਨਕੁ ਨ ਲਾਗਤ ਹੈ ਭਾਰੀ ਤੋਲ ਮੋਲ ਸੰਖਿਆ ਦਮਕਨ ਹੇਰਤ ਹਿਰਾਤਿ ਹੈ ।

kar par maanak na laagat hai bhaaree tol mol sankhiaa damakan herat hiraat hai |
