ਸਬਦ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਆਪਾ ਖੋਇ ਗੁਰਦਾਸੁ ਹੋਇ ਸਰਬ ਮੈ ਪੂਰਨ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਨੀਐ ।
sabad surat aapaa khoe guradaas hoe sarab mai pooran braham kar maaneeai |By contemplating and absorbing oneself in the name obtained by the blessings of a True Guru, and shedding the feelings of mine and his, one becomes a servant of the Guru. Such a servant acknowledges the presence of one Lord everywhere.
ਕਾਸਟ ਅਗਨਿ ਮਾਲਾ ਸੂਤ੍ਰ ਗੋਰਸ ਗੋਬੰਸ ਏਕ ਅਉ ਅਨੇਕ ਕੋ ਬਿਬੇਕ ਪਹਚਾਨੀਐ ।

ਲੋਚਨ ਸ੍ਰਵਨ ਮੁਖ ਨਾਸਕਾ ਅਨੇਕ ਸੋਤ੍ਰ ਦੇਖੈ ਸੁਨੈ ਬੋਲੈ ਮਨ ਮੈਕ ਉਰ ਆਨੀਐ ।
lochan sravan mukh naasakaa anek sotr dekhai sunai bolai man maik ur aaneeai |As all that is seen by the eyes, heard by the ears and said by the tongue reaches the mind, similarly the slave of the Guru sees one Lord residing in all beings and lodges Him in his mind.
