ਜੈਸੇ ਨਾਉ ਬੂਡਤ ਸੈ ਜੋਈ ਨਿਕਸੈ ਸੋਈ ਭਲੋ ਬੂਡਿ ਗਏ ਪਾਛੇ ਪਛਤਾਇਓ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਤ ਹੈ ।
jaise naau booddat sai joee nikasai soee bhalo boodd ge paachhe pachhataaeio reh jaat hai |

Blessed are those who are saved from a capsizing boat. If drowned, there would be nothing but repentance.

ਜੈਸੇ ਘਰ ਲਾਗੇ ਆਗਿ ਜੋਈ ਬਚੈ ਸੋਈ ਭਲੋ ਜਰਿ ਬੁਝੇ ਪਾਛੇ ਕਛੁ ਬਸੁ ਨ ਬਸਾਤ ਹੈ ।
jaise ghar laage aag joee bachai soee bhalo jar bujhe paachhe kachh bas na basaat hai |

All those who escape from a burning house are blessed people. Nothing can be done if one is burnt into ashes.

ਜੈਸੇ ਚੋਰ ਲਾਗੇ ਜਾਗੇ ਜੋਈ ਰਹੈ ਸੋਈ ਭਲੋ ਸੋਇ ਗਏ ਰੀਤੋ ਘਰ ਦੇਖੈ ਉਠਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਤ ਹੈ ।
jaise chor laage jaage joee rahai soee bhalo soe ge reeto ghar dekhai utth praat hai |

As one wakes up when the thief is committing theft, whatever is left behind by him is bonus and blessing. Otherwise one would find the house empty in the morning.

ਤੈਸੇ ਅੰਤ ਕਾਲ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਨ ਸਰਨਿ ਆਵੈ ਪਾਵੈ ਮੋਖ ਪਦਵੀ ਨਾਤਰ ਬਿਲਲਾਤ ਹੈ ।੬੯।
taise ant kaal gur charan saran aavai paavai mokh padavee naatar bilalaat hai |69|

Similarly if a wayward person comes to the refuge of Guru even at the near end of his life, he can achieve a state of emancipation. Otherwise he would fall in the hands of angels of death and keep wailing. (69)
