ਪੂਰਨ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਆਪ ਆਪਨ ਹੀ ਆਪਿ ਸਾਜਿ ਆਪਨ ਰਚਿਓ ਹੈ ਨਾਉ ਆਪਿ ਹੈ ਬਿਚਾਰਿ ਕੈ ।

pooran braham aap aapan hee aap saaj aapan rachio hai naau aap hai bichaar kai |

Omniscient and Omnipotent God Himself has created His own form and has named Himself as (Guru) Nanak.

ਆਦਿ ਗੁਰ ਦੁਤੀਆ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਕਹਾਇਉ ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਰਚਨਾ ਅਕਾਰ ਓਅੰਕਾਰ ਕੈ ।

aad gur duteea gobind kahaaeiau guramukh rachanaa akaar oankaar kai |

The second name that He called Himself is Gobind. The transcendental Lord took the immanent form to appear as the first Guru.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਦ ਬੇਦ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਵੈ ਭੇਦ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਲੀਲਾਧਾਰੀ ਅਨਿਕ ਅਉਤਾਰ ਕੈ ।

guramukh naad bed guramukh paavai bhed guramukh leelaadhaaree anik aautaar kai |

Lord Himself is the precept of Vedas and He Himself knows all the secrets that lie therein. Lord Himself has created this wonderful act and is manifesting in many forms and bodies

ਗੁਰ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਅਓ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗੁਰ ਏਕਮੇਕ ਓਤਿ ਪੋਤਿ ਸੂਤ੍ਰ ਗਤਿ ਅੰਬਰ ਉਚਾਰ ਕੈ ।੫੪।

gur gobind ao gobind gur ekamek ot pot sootr gat anbar uchaar kai |54|

Like waft and woof of a cloth, both Guru and Gobind (God) are not different to each other. (54)
