ਹਾਰਿ ਮਾਨੀ ਝਗਰੋ ਮਿਟਤ ਰੋਸ ਮਾਰੇ ਸੈ ਰਸਾਇਨ ਹੁਇ ਪੋਟ ਡਾਰੇ ਲਾਗਤ ਨ ਡੰਡੁ ਜਗ ਜਾਨੀਐ ।
haar maanee jhagaro mittat ros maare sai rasaaein hue pott ddaare laagat na ddandd jag jaaneeai |Accepting defeat ends all discords. Shedding anger gives much peace. If we discard the results/income of all our deeds/business, we are never taxed. This fact is known to the whole world.
ਹਉਮੇ ਅਭਿਮਾਨ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਊਚੇ ਨਾਹਿ ਜਲੁ ਨਿਮਤ ਨਵਨ ਥਲ ਜਲੁ ਪਹਿਚਾਨੀਐ ।
haume abhimaan asathaan aooche naeh jal nimat navan thal jal pahichaaneeai |The heart where ego and pride dwells is like a high ground where no water can accumulate. Lord cannot stay either.
ਅੰਗ ਸਰਬੰਗ ਤਰਹਰ ਹੋਤ ਹੈ ਚਰਨ ਤਾ ਤੇ ਚਰਨਾਮ੍ਰਤ ਚਰਨ ਰੇਨ ਮਾਨੀਐ ।
ang sarabang tarahar hot hai charan taa te charanaamrat charan ren maaneeai |Feet are located at the lowest end of the body. That is why the dust of the feet and the foot wash are regarded sacred and thus respected.
ਤੈਸੇ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤ ਜਗਤ ਮੈ ਨਿੰਮਰੀਭੂਤ ਜਗ ਪਗ ਲਗਿ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਪਰਵਾਨੀਐ ।੨੮੮।
taise har bhagat jagat mai ninmareebhoot jag pag lag masatak paravaaneeai |288|So is the devotee and worshipper of God who is sans pride and full of humility. The whole world falls at his feet and consider their forehead blessed. (288)
