ਸਫਲ ਜਨੰਮੁ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਨ ਸਰਨਿ ਲਿਵ ਸਫਲ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟ ਗੁਰ ਦਰਸ ਅਲੋਈਐ ।
safal janam gur charan saran liv safal drisatt gur daras aloeeai |Human life is successful if spent in the refuge of the True Guru remembering the Supreme Being. Vision of the eyes is purposeful if it has the desire to see Him.
ਸਫਲ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦ ਸੁਨਤ ਨਿਤ ਜਿਹਬਾ ਸਫਲ ਗੁਨ ਨਿਧਿ ਗੁਨ ਗੋਈਐ ।
safal surat gur sabad sunat nit jihabaa safal gun nidh gun goeeai |Their hearing power is fruitful who hear that creative sound of the True Guru all the time. That tongue is blessed if it keeps on uttering the virtues of the Lord.
ਸਫਲ ਹਸਤ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਨ ਪੂਜਾ ਪ੍ਰਨਾਮ ਸਫਲ ਚਰਨ ਪਰਦਛਨਾ ਕੈ ਪੋਈਐ ।
safal hasat gur charan poojaa pranaam safal charan paradachhanaa kai poeeai |Hands are blessed if they serve the True Guru and keep on praying to Him at His feet. Those feet are blessed that keep moving circumambulating the True Guru.
ਸੰਗਮ ਸਫਲ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਸਹਜ ਘਰ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਸਫਲ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਕੈ ਸਮੋਈਐ ।੪੯੯।
sangam safal saadhasangat sahaj ghar hiradaa safal guramat kai samoeeai |499|Union with saintly congregation is blessed if it brings in a state of equipoise. The mind is blessed only when it imbibes the teachings of the True Guru. (499)
