ਕੋਟਨਿ ਕੋਟਾਨਿ ਧਿਆਨ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਦਰਸ ਮਿਲਿ ਅਤਿ ਅਸਚਰਜ ਮੈ ਹੇਰਤ ਹਿਰਾਏ ਹੈ ।
kottan kottaan dhiaan drisatt daras mil at asacharaj mai herat hiraae hai |The wondrous and marvellous state that befalls upon a Sikh of the True Guru when he integrates his vision in that of the Lord, defeats millions of other contemplations.
ਕੋਟਨਿ ਕੋਟਾਨਿ ਗਿਆਨ ਸਬਦ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਮਹਾਤਮ ਨ ਅਲਖ ਲਖਾਏ ਹੈ ।
kottan kottaan giaan sabad surat mil mahimaa mahaatam na alakh lakhaae hai |The importance of union of Guru's words in the consciousness of a Guru-devoted Sikh is beyond comprehension. That glory and grandeur cannot be reached by the knowledge of millions of books and tomes.
ਤਿਲ ਕੀ ਅਤੁਲ ਸੋਭਾ ਤੁਲਤ ਨ ਤੁਲਾਧਾਰ ਪਾਰ ਕੈ ਅਪਾਰ ਨ ਅਨੰਤ ਅੰਤ ਪਾਏ ਹੈ ।
til kee atul sobhaa tulat na tulaadhaar paar kai apaar na anant ant paae hai |Even a little glory equivalent to a sesame seed in respect of a Sikh who has achieved union of Guru's words and mind beside keeping his mind focused for a glimpse of the Guru is beyond assessment and evaluation. That grandeur cannot be weighed. Its beyond
ਕੋਟਨਿ ਕੋਟਾਨਿ ਚੰਦ੍ਰ ਭਾਨ ਜੋਤਿ ਕੋ ਉਦੋਤੁ ਹੋਤ ਬਲਿਹਾਰ ਬਾਰੰਬਾਰ ਨ ਅਘਾਏ ਹੈ ।੨੬੯।
kottan kottaan chandr bhaan jot ko udot hot balihaar baaranbaar na aghaae hai |269|As a result of the light effulgence in the Sikh of the Guru who has perpetually practiced in his mind the contemplation on the words of the Guru millions of Moons and Suns go sacrifice unto him again and again. (269)
