ਜੈਸੇ ਨਰਪਤਿ ਬਹੁ ਬਨਤਾ ਬਿਵਾਹ ਕਰੈ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਜਨਮਤ ਸੁਤ ਵਾਹੀ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਰਾਜ ਹੈ ।
jaise narapat bahu banataa bivaah karai jaa kai janamat sut vaahee grihi raaj hai |Just as a king marries many young maids, but she who produces him a son has the kingdom in her home.
ਜੈਸੇ ਦਧਿ ਮਧਿ ਚਹੂੰ ਓਰ ਮੈ ਬੋਹਥ ਚਲੈ ਜੋਈ ਪਾਰ ਪਹੁਚੈ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਬ ਕਾਜ ਹੈ ।
jaise dadh madh chahoon or mai bohath chalai joee paar pahuchai pooran sab kaaj hai |Just as ships sail in the ocean from all directions, but the ship that reaches its destination safely and on time, its travellers are benefited the most.
ਜੈਸੇ ਖਾਨਿ ਖਨਤ ਅਨੰਤ ਖਨਵਾਰਾ ਖੋਜੀ ਹੀਰਾ ਹਾਥਿ ਚੜੈ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਤਾ ਕੈ ਬਾਜੁ ਬਾਜ ਹੈ ।
jaise khaan khanat anant khanavaaraa khojee heeraa haath charrai jaa kai taa kai baaj baaj hai |As the miners dig the mines and one who is able to dig out or locate a diamond indulges in merry-making and festivities.
ਤੈਸੇ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਨਵਤਨ ਅਉ ਪੁਰਾਤਨਾਦਿ ਕਾ ਪਰਿ ਕਟਾਛਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਤਾ ਕੈ ਛਬਿ ਛਾਜ ਹੈ ।੩੭੧।
taise gurasikh navatan aau puraatanaad kaa par kattaachh kripaa taa kai chhab chhaaj hai |371|So are many old and new Sikhs of the True Guru. But those who are blessed with His clemency and look of grace, become noble, beautiful, wise and respectable through meditation of Naam. (371)
