ਜੈਸੇ ਗੁਆਰ ਗਾਇਨ ਚਰਾਵਤ ਜਤਨ ਬਨ ਖੇਤ ਨ ਪਰਤ ਸਬੈ ਚਰਤ ਅਘਾਇ ਕੈ ।
jaise guaar gaaein charaavat jatan ban khet na parat sabai charat aghaae kai |Just as cowherd grazer grazes his cows very attentively in the jungle and does not let them wander into some fields, and they graze to their satisfaction.
ਜੈਸੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਧਰਮ ਸਰੂਪ ਰਾਜਨੀਤ ਬਿਖੈ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਦੇਸ ਪਰਜਾ ਬਸਤ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਇ ਕੈ ।
jaise raajaa dharam saroop raajaneet bikhai taa ke des parajaa basat sukh paae kai |Just as a king who is righteous and just, his subjects live in peace and prosperity.
ਜੈਸੇ ਹੋਤ ਖੇਵਟ ਚੇਤੰਨਿ ਸਾਵਧਾਨ ਜਾ ਮੈ ਲਾਗੈ ਨਿਰਬਿਘਨ ਬੋਹਥ ਪਾਰਿ ਜਾਇ ਕੈ ।
jaise hot khevatt chetan saavadhaan jaa mai laagai nirabighan bohath paar jaae kai |Just as a sailor is very alert and conscious of his duties, that ship touches the yonder shore without any adverse happenings.
ਤੈਸੇ ਗੁਰ ਉਨਮਨ ਮਗਨ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਜੋਤ ਜੀਵਨ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਕਰੈ ਸਿਖ ਸਮਝਾਇ ਕੈ ।੪੧੮।
taise gur unaman magan braham jot jeevan mukat karai sikh samajhaae kai |418|Similarly, the True Guru who has merged with the Light divine of the Lord, like warp and weft of a cloth, alone can make a disciple living emancipated with His teachings. (418)
