ਬਿਸਮਾਦਹਿ ਬਿਸਮਾਦ ਅਸਚਰਜਹਿ ਅਸਚਰਜ ਗਤਿ ।
bisamaadeh bisamaad asacharajeh asacharaj gat |God - manifest Satguru's play is ecstatic and blissful, astonishing beyond astonishment,
ਆਦਿ ਪੁਰਖ ਪਰਮਾਦਿ ਅਦਭੁਤ ਪਰਮਦਭੁਤ ਭਏ ।੧।੮।
aad purakh paramaad adabhut paramadabhut bhe |1|8|unimaginably wondrous, and amazing beyond perception.
ਦੋਹਰਾ ।
doharaa |Dohra:
ਅਸਚਰਜਹਿ ਅਸਚਰਜ ਗਤਿ ਬਿਸਮਾਦਹਿ ਬਿਸਮਾਦ ।
asacharajeh asacharaj gat bisamaadeh bisamaad |(Describing the wondrous state of Guru who is immanent of the Lord), we have reached the awesome of awesome state, in the most enrapturing ecstatic state,
ਅਦਭੁਤ ਪਰਮਦਭੁਤ ਭਏ ਆਦਿ ਪੁਰਖ ਪਰਮਾਦਿ ।੨।੮।
adabhut paramadabhut bhe aad purakh paramaad |2|8|wonderfully strange condition of transcendence seeing the magnificence of the Lord .

ਆਦਿ ਪੁਰਖ ਪਰਮਾਦਿ ਸ੍ਵਾਦ ਰਸ ਗੰਧ ਅਗੋਚਰ ।
aad purakh paramaad svaad ras gandh agochar |Primordial Lord (God) has no beginning. He is beyond and still farther. He is free of such mundane worldly pleasures like taste, desires and fragrances.
ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਦਰਸ ਅਸ ਪਰਸ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਮਤਿ ਸਬਦ ਮਨੋਚਰ ।
drisatt daras as paras surat mat sabad manochar |He is beyond vision, touch, reach of mind, intelligence and words.
ਲੋਗ ਬੇਦ ਗਤਿ ਗਿਆਨ ਲਖੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਅਲਖ ਅਭੇਵਾ ।
log bed gat giaan lakhe naheen alakh abhevaa |The imperceptible and unattached Lord cannot be known by study of Vedas and through other earthly knowledge.
ਨੇਤ ਨੇਤ ਕਰਿ ਨਮੋ ਨਮੋ ਨਮ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਦੇਵਾ ।੩।੮।
net net kar namo namo nam satigur devaa |3|8|Satguru who is embodiment of Lord and inhabits His divine radiance is infinite. Thus, he is worthy of salutation and obeisance in all the three times-past, present and future. (8)
