ਨਾਇਕੁ ਹੈ ਏਕੁ ਅਰੁ ਨਾਇਕਾ ਅਸਟ ਤਾ ਕੈ ਏਕ ਏਕ ਨਾਇਕਾ ਕੇ ਪਾਂਚ ਪਾਂਚ ਪੂਤ ਹੈ ।

naaeik hai ek ar naaeikaa asatt taa kai ek ek naaeikaa ke paanch paanch poot hai |

There is only one master of the house. He has eight wives and each wife has five sons.

ਏਕ ਏਕ ਪੂਤ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਚਾਰਿ ਚਾਰਿ ਨਾਤੀ ਏਕੈ ਏਕੈ ਨਾਤੀ ਦੋਇ ਪਤਨੀ ਪ੍ਰਸੂਤ ਹੈ ।

ek ek poot grih chaar chaar naatee ekai ekai naatee doe patanee prasoot hai |

Every son has four sons. Thus every grandson of the master has two child-bearing wives.

ਤਾਹੂ ਤੇ ਅਨੇਕ ਪੁਨਿ ਏਕੈ ਏਕੈ ਪਾਂਚ ਪਾਂਚ ਤਾ ਤੇ ਚਾਰਿ ਚਾਰਿ ਸੁਤਿ ਸੰਤਤਿ ਸੰਭੂਤ ਹੈ ।

taahoo te anek pun ekai ekai paanch paanch taa te chaar chaar sut santat sanbhoot hai |

Then several children were born of those wives. Each bore five sons and then four more sons.

ਤਾ ਤੇ ਆਠ ਆਠ ਸੁਤਾ ਸੁਤਾ ਸੁਤਾ ਆਠ ਸੁਤ ਐਸੋ ਪਰਵਾਰੁ ਕੈਸੇ ਹੋਇ ਏਕ ਸੂਤ ਹੈ ।੨੨੮।
