ਜੈਸੇ ਪਤਿਬ੍ਰ ਤਾਕਉ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਘਰਿ ਵਾਤ ਨਾਤ ਅਸਨ ਬਸਨ ਧਨ ਧਾਮ ਲੋਗਚਾਰ ਹੈ ।
jaise patibr taakau pavitr ghar vaat naat asan basan dhan dhaam logachaar hai |Just as living in her house, bathing, eating and sleeping etc. and discharging her worldly duties according to the social customs and traditions are all sacred for a faithful and loyal wife.
ਤਾਤ ਮਾਤ ਭ੍ਰਾਤ ਸੁਤ ਸੁਜਨ ਕੁਟੰਬ ਸਖਾ ਸੇਵਾ ਗੁਰਜਨ ਸੁਖ ਅਭਰਨ ਸਿੰਗਾਰ ਹੈ ।
taat maat bhraat sut sujan kuttanb sakhaa sevaa gurajan sukh abharan singaar hai |It is her natural duty to embellish herself with ornaments for the happiness of her husband beside serving and respecting parents, brothers, sisters, sons, other elders in the family, friends and other social contacts.
ਕਿਰਤ ਬਿਰਤ ਪਰਸੂਤ ਮਲ ਮੂਤ੍ਰਧਾਰੀ ਸਕਲ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਜੋਈ ਬਿਬਿਧਿ ਅਚਾਰ ਹੈ ।
kirat birat parasoot mal mootradhaaree sakal pavitr joee bibidh achaar hai |Attending to the household chores, bearing children, bringing them up, keeping them clean and neat is all sacred for a faithful and loyal wife.
ਤੈਸੇ ਗੁਰਸਿਖਨ ਕਉ ਲੇਪੁ ਨ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਸਤ ਮੈ ਆਨ ਦੇਵ ਸੇਵ ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਜਨਮੁ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਹੈ ।੪੮੩।
taise gurasikhan kau lep na grihasat mai aan dev sev dhrig janam sansaar hai |483|Similarly, the disciples of the Guru are never blemished while leading a householder's life. Like loyal and faithful wife, they consider indulgence of worship of any other god over the True Guru as a condemnable act in the world. (483)
