ਇਮ ਸ਼ਬ ਬ-ਤਮਾਸ਼ਾਇ ਰੁਖ਼ਿ ਯਾਰ ਤਵਾਣ ਰਫ਼ਤ ।
eim shab ba-tamaashaae rukh yaar tavaan rafat |

Goyaa says, "I keep entangling myself on the curls of the lock of your hair, O Guru! Because, my mind that keeps yearning with intense desire to see you is able to attain peace and stability.” (19) (7) What can a doctor prescribe as a medication for a patient suffering from a keen love? How can a pilot, the Guru, help to show the right path when we, ourselves have a crippled condition with lame legs? (20) (1) All his (Guru's) glow and grace are visible without a camouflage, When we are under the garb of ego, what can even a moon-like serene face do for us? (20) (2) One who does not have any momentary direction or stability in his mind, What can a placid spot or a quiet nook of a mansion do for him?" (20) (3)

ਸੂਇ ਬੁਤਿ ਆਸ਼ਕ-ਕੁਸ਼ ਅੱਯਾਰ ਤਵਾਣ ਰਫ਼ਤ ।੧੨।੧।

How can you reach the court of the Beloved without a preceptor of love?

ਦਰ ਕੂਚਾਇ ਇਸ਼ਕ ਅਰ ਚਿ ਮੁਹਾਲ ਅਸਤ ਰਸੀਦਨ ।
dar koochaae ishak ar chi muhaal asat raseedan |

What can a guide do to help if you lack the desire and the emotion?” (20) (4)

ਮਨਸੂਰ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ ਬਾ-ਕਦਿਮ ਦਾਰ ਤਵਾਣ ਰਫ਼ਤ ।੧੨।੨।
manasoor sifat baa-kadim daar tavaan rafat |12|2|

O Goyaa ! "As long as you are able to use the sacred dust of the feet of the Guru as a collyrium for your eyes, You would be able to see the grace and refulgence of the Creator. What other use is the collyrium for you?" (20) (5)

ਐ ਦਿਲ ਬਸੂਇ ਮਦਰਿਸਾ ਗਰ ਮੈਲ ਨ ਦਾਰੀ ।
aai dil basooe madarisaa gar mail na daaree |

When the easterly breeze combs through the curls of his tresses,

ਬਾਰੇ ਬ-ਸੂਇ ਖ਼ਾਨਾਇ ਖ਼ੁਮਾਰ ਤਵਾਣ ਰਫ਼ਤ ।੧੨।੩।
baare ba-sooe khaanaae khumaar tavaan rafat |12|3|

It is as if it is making a strange chain link for my insane mind. (21) (1)

ਚੂੰ ਖ਼ਾਤ੍ਰਿਮ ਅਜ਼ ਇਸ਼ਕਿ ਤੂ ਸ਼ੁਦ ਰਸ਼ਕਿ ਗੁਲਿਸਤਾਣ ।
choon khaatrim az ishak too shud rashak gulisataan |

We have not understood the significance of the human body since the dawn of creation, beginning of the time,

ਬੇ-ਹੁਦਾ ਚਿਰਾ ਜਾਨਬਿ ਗੁਲਜ਼ਾਰ ਤਵਾਣ ਰਫ਼ਤ ।੧੨।੪।
be-hudaa chiraa jaanab gulazaar tavaan rafat |12|4|

That, the Lord created this body for His own abode. (21) (2)

ਐ ਦਿਲ ਚੂ ਸ਼ੁਦੀ ਵਾਕਿਫ਼ਿ ਅਸਰਾਰਿ ਇਲਾਹੀ ।
aai dil choo shudee vaakif asaraar ilaahee |

The heart of a lover becomes that of the beloved's in a short time;

ਦਰ ਸੀਨਾ-ਅੱਮ ਐ ਮਖਜ਼ਨਿ ਅਸਰਾਰ ਤਵਾਣ ਰਫਤ ।੧੨।੫।
dar seenaa-am aai makhazan asaraar tavaan rafat |12|5|

Anyone who is on good terms with the beloved becomes the heart and soul from feet to the head (all over his body). (21) (3)

ਸਦ ਰੌਜ਼ਾਇ ਰਿਜ਼ਵਾਨਸਤ ਚੂ ਦਰ ਖਾਨਾ ਸ਼ਿਗੁਫ਼ਤਾ ।
sad rauazaae rizavaanasat choo dar khaanaa shigufataa |

Why are you running after (every) mean person for a morsel of bread?

ਗੋਯਾ ਬ-ਚਿਹ ਸੂਇ ਦਰੋ ਦੀਵਾਰ ਤਵਾਣ ਰਫ਼ਤ ।੧੨।੬।
goyaa ba-chih sooe daro deevaar tavaan rafat |12|6|

You know well that the greed for just one grain makes one a prisoner. (21) (4)
