ਮਾ ਬਾ-ਯਾਦਿ ਹੱਕ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਾ-ਏਮ ।
maa baa-yaad hak hameshaa zindaa-em |Every Tom, Dick or Harry does not have the wherewithal to reach there (them). (232)
ਦਾਇਮ ਅਜ਼ ਇਹਸਾਨਿ ਊ ਸ਼ਰਮੰਿਦਾ-ਏਮ ।੫੭।੧।
daaeim az ihasaan aoo sharamanidaa-em |57|1|In appearance, they look just like an embodiment of the specie of Akaalpurakh,
ਖ਼ੁਦ-ਨਮਾ ਰਾ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰ ਨੀਸਤ ।
khuda-namaa raa bandagee manazoor neesat |In reality, they are the refuge for everyone in both the worlds. (233)
ਊ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਣ ਸਾਹਿਬੋ ਮਾ ਬੰਦਾ-ਏਮ ।੫੭।੨।
aoo hameshaan saahibo maa bandaa-em |57|2|While engaged in their professions or trades, they are still unattached and unduly engrossed in them;
ਦਰ ਵਜੂਦਿ ਖ਼ਾਕੀਆਣ ਪਾਕੀ ਅਜ਼ੋਸਤ ।
dar vajood khaakeeaan paakee azosat |They spend their lives in remembering the Provident (day and night). (234)
ਮਾ ਖ਼ੁਦਾਇ ਪਾਕ ਰਾ ਬੀਨਿੰਦਾ-ਏਮ ।੫੭।੩।
maa khudaae paak raa beenindaa-em |57|3|They, the noble souls, consider themselves (out of humility) just like an ant,
ਮਾ ਬਪਾਇ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਸਰ ਅਫ਼ਗੰਦਾ-ਏਮ ।
maa bapaae shaah sar afagandaa-em |Even though they, in fact, might be more powerful than a ferocious and dangerous elephant. (235)
ਅਜ਼ ਦੋ ਆਲਮ ਦਸਤ ਰਾ ਅਫ਼ਸ਼ਾਣਦਾ-ਏਮ ।੫੭।੪।
az do aalam dasat raa afashaanadaa-em |57|4|Whatever you are seeing in this world is simply astonished and confounded about them;
ਨੀਸਤ ਦਰ ਹਰ ਚਸ਼ਮ ਗ਼ੈਰ ਅਜ਼ ਨੂਰਿ ਊ ।
neesat dar har chasham gair az noor aoo |Their splendor and aura is far superior than even that of the examinations. (236)
ਸੁਹਬਤਿ ਮਰਦਾਨਿ ਹੱਕ ਜੋਇੰਦਾ-ਏਮ ।੫੭।੫।
suhabat maradaan hak joeindaa-em |57|5|The company of the true devotees of Waaheguru is a great boon;
ਮਾ ਚੂ ਜ਼ੱਰਾਇ ਖ਼ਾਕਿ ਪਾਇ ਊ ਸ਼ੁਦੇਮ ।
maa choo zaraae khaak paae aoo shudem |Such a wealth and virtuosity does not suffer from any anxiety or grief. (237)
ਤਾ ਬਦਾਮਨ ਦਸਤਿ ਖ਼ੁਦ ਅਫ਼ਗੰਦਾ ਏਮ ।੫੭।੬।
taa badaaman dasat khud afagandaa em |57|6|They, themselves, are elevated, mature and blessed; anyone who happens to be bestowed with their company;
ਕੀਸਤ ਗੋਯਾ ਜ਼ਾਕਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਖ਼ੁਦਾ ।
keesat goyaa zaakar naam khudaa |He, too, becomes elevated, mature and blessed, and receives laurels everywhere. (238)
ਹਮਚੂ ਖ਼ੁਰਸ਼ੀਦ ਜਹਾਣ ਰਖ਼ਸ਼ੰਦਾ ਏਮ ।੫੭।੭।
hamachoo khurasheed jahaan rakhashandaa em |57|7|Anyone who has recognized his own reality;
