ਮੁਦਾਮ ਬਾਦਾ-ਕਸ਼ੋ ਸੂਫੀ ਓ ਸਫ਼ਾ ਮੀ ਬਾਸ਼ ।
mudaam baadaa-kasho soofee o safaa mee baash |Whosoever prostrates before Waaheguru every morning
ਤਮਾਮਿ ਜ਼ੁਹਦ ਸ਼ੌ ਵਰਿੰਦਿ ਬੀਨਵਾ ਮੀ ਬਾਸ਼ ।੪੦।੧।
tamaam zuhad shau varind beenavaa mee baash |40|1|Waaheguru makes him firm (believer) in contentment and faith. (32)
ਬਸੂਇ ਗ਼ੈਰ ਮਿਅਫ਼ਗਨ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਕਿ ਬੇ-ਬਸਰੀ ।
basooe gair miafagan nazar ki be-basaree |The 'head' was created only to bow before the Almighty;
ਤਮਾਮਿ ਚਸ਼ਮ ਸ਼ੌ ਵ ਸੂਇ ਦੋਸਤ ਵਾ ਮੀ ਬਾਸ਼ ।੪੦।੨।
tamaam chasham shau v sooe dosat vaa mee baash |40|2|And this is the cure for all headaches in (of) this world. (33)
ਬ-ਗਿਰਦਿ ਕਾਮਤਿ ਆਣ ਸ਼ਾਹਿ ਦਿਲਰੁਬਾ ਮੀ ਗਰਦ ।
ba-girad kaamat aan shaeh dilarubaa mee garad |Therefore, we should always keep bowing our heads before the Beneficent;
ਅਸੀਰਿ ਹਲਕਾਇ ਆਣ ਜ਼ੁਲਫ਼ਿ ਮੁਸ਼ਕ ਸਾ ਮੀ ਬਾਸ਼ ।੪੦।੩।
aseer halakaae aan zulaf mushak saa mee baash |40|3|In fact, someone cognizant of Akaalpurakh will not be derelict even for a moment in remembering Him. (34)
ਨ ਗੋਇਮਤ ਕਿ ਸੂਇ ਦੈਰ ਯਾ ਹਰਮ ਮੀ ਰੌ ।
n goeimat ki sooe dair yaa haram mee rau |How can anyone who has been oblivious in remembering Him be called wise and sane?
ਬਹਰ ਤਰਫ਼ ਕਿ ਰਵੀ ਜਾਨਿਬਿ ਖ਼ੁਦਾ ਮੀ ਬਾਸ਼ ।੪੦।੪।
bahar taraf ki ravee jaanib khudaa mee baash |40|4|Anyone who has been negligent of Him should be considered an idiot and uncouth. (35)
ਬਸੂਇ ਗ਼ੈਰ ਚੂ ਬੇਗ਼ਾਨਗਾਣ ਚਿਹ ਮੀ ਗਰਦੀ ।
basooe gair choo begaanagaan chih mee garadee |A knowledgeable and enlightened person does not get bogged down in verbal rhetorics,
ਹਮੀ ਜ਼ਿ ਹਾਲਿ ਦਿਲਿ ਖ਼ਸਤਾ ਆਸ਼ਨਾ ਮੀ ਬਾਸ਼ ।੪੦।੫।
hamee zi haal dil khasataa aashanaa mee baash |40|5|The achievement of his whole life is just the memory of Akaalpurakh. (36)
ਮੁਦਾਮ ਸ਼ਾਕਿਰੋ ਸ਼ਾਦਾਬ ਚੂੰ ਦਿਲਿ ਗੋਯਾ ।
mudaam shaakiro shaadaab choon dil goyaa |The only person who is honest and religious-minded is the one
ਤਮਾਮਿ ਮੁਤਲਿਬੋ ਫ਼ਾਰਿਗ਼ ਜ਼ਿ ਮੁਦਆ ਮੀ ਬਾਸ਼ ।੪੦।੬।
tamaam mutalibo faarig zi mudaa mee baash |40|6|Who does not become derelict even for one moment in memorializing the Omnipotent. (37)
