ਅਜ਼ ਦੋਸਤ ਗ਼ੈਰਿ ਦੋਸਤ ਤਮੱਨਾ ਨਮੀ ਕੁਨੇਮ ।
az dosat gair dosat tamanaa namee kunem |He became an extraordinary sun easily and spontaneously. (226)
ਮਾ ਦਰਦਿ ਸਰਿ ਖ਼ੁਏਸ਼ ਮਦਾਵਾ ਨਮੀ ਕੁਨੇਮ ।੫੬।੧।
maa darad sar khuesh madaavaa namee kunem |56|1|The underlying meaning of living without the memory of Waaheguru is complete ignorance and naivety.
ਬੀਮਾਰ ਨਰਗਸੇਮ ਕਿ ਨਰਗਸ ਗ਼ੁਲਾਮਿ ਊ ਸਤ ।
beemaar naragasem ki naragas gulaam aoo sat |The valuable asset of the remembrance of Akaalpurakh becomes the treasure of some fortunate beings. (227)
ਮਾ ਆਰਜ਼ੂਇ ਖ਼ਿਜ਼ਰੋ ਮਸੀਹਾ ਨਮੀ ਕੁਨੇਮ ।੫੬।੨।
maa aarazooe khizaro maseehaa namee kunem |56|2|One can get a glimpse of the Omnipotent only
ਹਰ ਜਾ ਕਿ ਦੀਦਾ ਏਮ ਜਮਾਲਿ ਤੂ ਦੀਦਾ ਏਮ ।
har jaa ki deedaa em jamaal too deedaa em |When one's association with noble saints become fruitful. (228)
ਮਾ ਜੁਜ਼ ਜਮਾਲਿ ਦੂਸਤ ਤਮਾਸ਼ਾ ਨਮੀ ਕੁਨੇਮ ।੫੬।੩।
maa juz jamaal doosat tamaashaa namee kunem |56|3|If someone can abide even one word of Truth in his heart,
ਬਾ ਯਾਰ ਹਮਦਮੇਮ ਨ ਬੀਨੇਮ ਗ਼ੈਰ ਊ ।
baa yaar hamadamem na beenem gair aoo |Then, Truth but nothing but the Truth gets assimilated to the roots of each of his hair. (229)
ਮਾ ਚਸ਼ਮਿ ਖ਼ੁਦ ਬਰੂਇ ਕਸੇ ਵਾ ਨਮੀ ਕੁਨੇਮ ।੫੬।੪।
maa chasham khud barooe kase vaa namee kunem |56|4|Anyone who can direct himself towards the divine path of Waaheguru,
ਪਰਵਾਨਾ-ਵਾਰ ਗ਼ਿਰਦਿ ਰੁਖ਼ਿ ਸ਼ਮਆ ਜਾਣ ਦਿਹੇਮ ।
paravaanaa-vaar girad rukh shamaa jaan dihem |God's glory and splendor radiates from his face. (230)
ਚੂ ਅੰਦਲੀਬ ਬੇਹੁਦਾ ਗ਼ੋਗ਼ਾ ਨਮੀ ਕੁਨੇਮ ।੫੬।੫।
choo andaleeb behudaa gogaa namee kunem |56|5|All this benevolence and benignity is because of them and their blessings,
ਗੋਯਾ ਖ਼ਮੋਸ਼ ਬਾਸ਼ ਕਿ ਸੌਦਾਇ ਇਸ਼ਕਿ ਯਾਰ ।
goyaa khamosh baash ki sauadaae ishak yaar |The company of saintly persons (of God) is one priceless asset. (231)
ਤਾਣ ਈਣ ਸਰਸਤ ਅਜ਼ ਸਰਿ-ਖ਼ੁਦ ਵਾ ਨਮੀ ਕੁਨੇਮ ।੫੬।੬।
taan een sarasat az sari-khud vaa namee kunem |56|6|No one really understands or appreciates the state of mind of these noble royalties;
