ਬਦਰ ਪੇਸ਼ਿ ਰੂਇ ਤੂ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਾ ਅਸਤ ।
badar pesh rooe too sharamindaa asat |No individual is outside the circumference of your ravishing locks of hair,
ਬਲਕਿ ਖ਼ੁਰਸ਼ੀਦਿ ਜਹਾਣ ਹਮ ਬੰਦਾ ਅਸਤ ।੯।੧।
balak khurasheed jahaan ham bandaa asat |9|1|And, my enchanted mind is also twirled into the same mania. (13) (2)
ਚਸ਼ਮਿ ਮਾ ਹਰਗਿਜ਼ ਬਗੈਰ ਅਜ਼ ਹੱਕ ਨਾ ਦੀਦ ।
chasham maa haragiz bagair az hak naa deed |Since the time his beautiful tall and hefty torso has penetrated into my eyes,
ਐ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ਾ ਚਸ਼ਮੇ ਕਿ ਬੀਨਿੰਦਾ ਅਸਤ ।੯।੨।
aai khushaa chashame ki beenindaa asat |9|2|I have not been able to recognize any one else except his living-cypress-like graceful personality. (13) (3)
ਮਾ ਨਮੀ ਲਾਫ਼ੇਮ ਅਜ਼ ਜ਼ੁਹਦੋ ਰਿਆ ।
maa namee laafem az zuhado riaa |Just hearing the ringing of the bell hung in the neck of Laila's camel, my heart went crazy (because it was the sign of Laila's arrival),
ਗਰ ਗੁਨਾਹ ਗ਼ਾਰੇਮ ਹੱਕ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿੰਦਾ ਅਸਤ ।੯।੩।
gar gunaah gaarem hak bakhashindaa asat |9|3|And, like Majnoo, it became ecstatic and ran towards the wilderness of the jungle. (13) (4)
ਦੀਗਰੇ ਰਾ ਅਜ਼ ਕੁਜਾ ਆਰੇਮ ਮਾ ।
deegare raa az kujaa aarem maa |Ever since, his love-story has abided in my heart,
ਸ਼ੋਰ ਦਰ ਆਲਮ ਯਕੇ ਅਫ਼ਗੰਦਾ ਅਸਤ ।੯।੪।
shor dar aalam yake afagandaa asat |9|4|I have no taste for anything other than his true remembrance in every fiber of my body. (13) (5)
ਹਰਫਿ ਗ਼ੈਰ ਅਜ਼ ਹੱਕ ਨਿਆਇਦ ਹੀਚਗਾਹ ।
haraf gair az hak niaaeid heechagaah |My diamond-showering eyes are preserving lustrous gems similar to the delicate poppy flowers,
ਬਰ ਲਬਿ ਗੋਯਾ ਕਿ ਹੱਕ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿੰਦਾ ਅਸਤ ।੯।੫।
bar lab goyaa ki hak bakhashindaa asat |9|5|So that during your momentary visit, I could waive them over your precious head in sacrifice." (13) (6) Today, my life is ending through both of my eyes, However, the chance of only one glimpse of him has been deferred to the doomsday.” (13) (7) Nothing else but the praises of the Lord come up on my lips, Ultimately, Goyaa's heart has reaped full benefits of this life." (13) (8)
