maa ki khud har bandaae hak raa khudaa fahimeedaa em |

What use is that life that is spent needlessly and in vain. (216)

khosheetan raa bandaae een bandaahaa fahimeedaa em |54|1|

A person is born (only) to be engaged in meditation;

maradumaan chasham maa raa ehatiaaj suramaa neesat |

In fact, religious devotion (and prayers) is a good cure to put this life in the proper perspective. (217)

basak khaak raeh maradum tooteea fahimeedaa em |54|2|

How fortunate is that eye that has got a glimpse of the face of the Beloved!

har nafas sar bar zameen daarem az bahire sajood |

Eyes of the people of both the worlds are fixed towards it. (218)

zaan ki rooe yaar khud noor khudaa fahimeedaa em |54|3|

This and the other world are satiated with the Truth;

baadashaahaan raa fakeeraan baadashaahee daadaa and |

But devoted men of God are rare in this world. (219)

zaan gadaae kooe aoo raa baadashaah fahimeedaa em |54|4|

If some one became indistinguishable with Akaalpurakh,

maa namee khaahem mulako maal raa goyaa azaan |

Then his glory spreads in countries like Rome and Africa. (220)

saaeaae zulaf turaa baal humaa fahimeedaa em |54|5|

To get assimilated in the Entity of God is, in fact, real love for Him;
