ਤਾ ਆਫ਼ਰੀਦਾ ਅਸਤ ਮਰਾ ਆਣ ਖ਼ੁਦਾਇ ਪਾਕ ।
taa aafareedaa asat maraa aan khudaae paak |Such a blessed company will bestow upon you the humaneness. (197)
ਜੁਜ਼ ਹਰਫ਼ਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਹੱਕ ਨਿਆਇਦ ਜ਼ਿ ਜਿਸਮਿ ਖ਼ਾਕ ।੫੧।੧।
juz haraf naam hak niaaeid zi jisam khaak |51|1|The purpose of human life is (ultimately) to merge with the Creator;
ਦਰ ਹਿਜਰਿ ਤੁਸਤ ਜਾਨੋ ਦਿਲਿ ਆਸ਼ਕਾਣ ਚੁਨੀਣ ।
dar hijar tusat jaano dil aashakaan chuneen |Absence of His description and discourse is tantamount to breaking away from every one else. (198)
ਚੂੰ ਲਾਲਾ ਦਾਗ਼ ਬਰ ਜਿਗਰੋ ਸੀਨਾ ਚਾਕ ਚਾਕ ।੫੧।੨।
choon laalaa daag bar jigaro seenaa chaak chaak |51|2|When a human being gets into the tradition of remembering Waaheguru,
ਈਣ ਗੁਫ਼ਤਾ ਅਸਤ ਮਰਗ ਕਿ ਬੇ-ਯਾਦਿ ਹੱਕ ਬਵਦ ।
een gufataa asat marag ki be-yaad hak bavad |He becomes conversant with the attainment of both life and soul. (199)
ਚੂੰ ਸਾਇਆ ਤੂ ਹਸਤ ਨਦਾਰੇਮ ਹੀਚ ਬਾਕ ।੫੧।੩।
choon saaeaa too hasat nadaarem heech baak |51|3|He will be redeemed and set free from the attachments of this revolving world when someone breaks away his connections from it;
ਤਖ਼ਤੋ ਨਗੀਣ ਗੁਜ਼ਾਸ਼ਤਾ ਸ਼ਾਹਾਣ ਜ਼ ਬਹਿਰੇ ਤੂ ।
takhato nageen guzaashataa shaahaan z bahire too |Then, he would become detached from the material distractions like a seeker of spiritual knowledge. (200)
ਬਿਕੁਸ਼ਾ ਜ਼ਿ ਰੁਖ਼ ਨਕਾਬ ਕਿ ਆਲਮ ਸ਼ੁਦਾ ਹਲਾਕ ।੫੧।੪।
bikushaa zi rukh nakaab ki aalam shudaa halaak |51|4|He was applauded in both the worlds,
ਐ ਖ਼ਾਕਿ ਦਰਗਹਿ ਤੂ ਸ਼ਫ਼ਾ-ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿ ਆਲਮ ਅਸਤ ।
aai khaak darageh too shafaa-bakhash aalam asat |When anyone imbued his heart and soul with the remembrance of Akaalpurakh. (201)
ਰਹਿਮੇ ਬਿਕੁਨ ਬਹਾਲਿ ਗਰੀਬਾਨਿ ਦਰਦਨਾਕ ।੫੧।੫।
rahime bikun bahaal gareebaan daradanaak |51|5|The body of such a person begins to radiate like the sun,
ਦੁਨਿਆ-ਸਤ ਕਾਣ ਖ਼ਰਾਬ ਕੁਨਿ ਹਰ ਦੋ ਆਲਮ ਅਸਤ ।
duniaa-sat kaan kharaab kun har do aalam asat |When he, in the company of saintly persons, has attained the real Truth. (202)
ਦਾਰਾ ਬਖ਼ਾਕ ਰਫ਼ਤਾ ਓ ਕਾਰੂੰ ਸ਼ੁਦਾ ਹਲਾਕ ।੫੧।੬।
daaraa bakhaak rafataa o kaaroon shudaa halaak |51|6|He remembered the Naam of Akaalpurakh day and night,
ਚਸ਼ਮਮ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਬੇ ਤੂ ਗੁਹਰ ਬਾਰ ਮੀ ਸ਼ਵਦ ।
chashamam hameshaa be too guhar baar mee shavad |Then only the discourses and praises of the Lord became his support. (203)
ਗੋਯਾ ਮਿਸਾਲਿ ਦਾਨਾ ਕਿ ਅਜ਼ ਖ਼ੋਸ਼ਾ-ਹਾਇ ਤਾਕ ।੫੧।੭।
