ਐ ਰੁਖ਼ਿ ਤੂ ਰੌਨਿਕਿ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰਿ ਸ਼ਮਆ ।
aai rukh too rauanik baazaar shamaa |O human being! You are one of the rays of the Divine glow, and become engulfed in divine radiance from head to toes,
ਅਸ਼ਕਿ ਰੇਜ਼ਿ ਚਸ਼ਮਿ ਗੌਹਰ-ਬਾਰਿ ਸ਼ਮਆ ।੪੬।੧।
ashak rez chasham gauahara-baar shamaa |46|1|Get rid of any worries or suspicions, and get inebriated permanently in His memory. (63)
ਮਹਰਮ ਹਰਫ਼ਾਤਿ ਊ ਰਾ ਗਸ਼ਤਾ ਅਸ਼ਤ ।
maharam harafaat aoo raa gashataa ashat |How long would you be in the never-ending captivity of anxieties?
ਅਸ਼ਕ ਮੇ ਰੇਜ਼ਦ ਦਿਲਿ ਅਫ਼ਗਾਰਿ ਸ਼ਮਾਅ ।੪੬।੨।
ashak me rezad dil afagaar shamaa |46|2|Get rid of sorrows and griefs; remember the Lord and stay safe and secure for ever. (64)
ਹਰ ਕੁਜਾ ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਚਰਾਗੇ ਕਰਦਾ ਅੰਦ ।
har kujaa rauashan charaage karadaa and |What is distress and depression? It is the negligence of His meditation;
ਯੱਕ ਗੁਲੇ ਬੂਦ ਅਸਤ ਅਜ਼ ਗੁਲਜ਼ਾਰਿ ਸ਼ਮਆ ।੪੬।੩।
yak gule bood asat az gulazaar shamaa |46|3|What is pleasure and joy? It is the remembrance of the Almighty of infinite dimensions. (65)
ਤਾ ਕਿਹ ਬਰ-ਅਫ਼ਰੋਖ਼ਤੀ ਰੁਖ਼ਸਾਰਿ ਖ਼ੁਦ ।
taa kih bara-afarokhatee rukhasaar khud |Do you know the meaning of the Illimitable?
ਮੀ ਸ਼ਵਦ ਕੁਰਬਾਨਿ ਤੂ ਸਦ ਬਾਰ ਸ਼ਮਆ ।੪੬।੪।
mee shavad kurabaan too sad baar shamaa |46|4|It is the Boundless, the Akaalpurakh, who is not subjected to births and deaths. (66)
ਗਿਰਦਿ ਰੁਖ਼ਸਾਰਿ ਤੂ ਅਜ਼ ਬਹਿਰਿ ਨਿਸਾਰ ।
girad rukhasaar too az bahir nisaar |Every man and woman in his/her head is overwhelmed with His ardor;
ਜਾਣ ਬਰੀਜ਼ਦ ਦੀਦਾਹਾਇ ਜ਼ਾਰਿ ਸ਼ਮਆ ।੪੬।੫।
jaan bareezad deedaahaae zaar shamaa |46|5|All this excitement in both the worlds is His creation. (67)
ਬਸਕਿ ਇਮਸ਼ਬ ਨਾਮਦੀ ਅਜ਼ ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਰ ।
basak imashab naamadee az intazaar |It is the tongue of the saints and noble souls where He has made His abode;
ਸੋਖ਼ਤ ਮਹਿਫਲ ਚਸ਼ਮਿ ਆਤਿਸ਼ ਬਾਰਿ ਸ਼ਮਆ ।੪੬।੬।
sokhat mahifal chasham aatish baar shamaa |46|6|Or He abides in their hearts where there is constant remembrance of Him day and night. (68)
ਸੁਬਹ ਦਮ ਗੋਯਾ ਤਮਾਸ਼ਿਾਇ ਅਜੀਬ ।
subah dam goyaa tamaashiaae ajeeb |The eyes of a meditator never open up to see anyone or anything else but Him;
ਜੁਮਲਾ ਆਲਮ ਖ਼ੁਫ਼ਤਾ ਓ ਬੇਦਾਰ ਸ਼ਮਆ ।੪੬।੭।
jumalaa aalam khufataa o bedaar shamaa |46|7|And, his drop (of water), every breath, does not flow towards any other place except towards the vast ocean (the Akaalpurakh). (69)
