ਆਪੀਨੑੈ ਆਪੁ ਸਾਜਿਓ ਆਪੀਨੑੈ ਰਚਿਓ ਨਾਉ ॥

aapeenaai aap saajio aapeenaai rachio naau |

He Himself created Himself; He Himself assumed His Name.

ਦੁਯੀ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਸਾਜੀਐ ਕਰਿ ਆਸਣੁ ਡਿਠੋ ਚਾਉ ॥

duyee kudarat saajeeai kar aasan ddittho chaau |

Secondly, He fashioned the creation; seated within the creation, He beholds it with delight.

ਦਾਤਾ ਕਰਤਾ ਆਪਿ ਤੂੰ ਤੁਸਿ ਦੇਵਹਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਪਸਾਉ ॥

daataa karataa aap toon tus deveh kareh pasaau |

You Yourself are the Giver and the Creator; by Your Pleasure, You bestow Your Mercy.

ਤੂੰ ਜਾਣੋਈ ਸਭਸੈ ਦੇ ਲੈਸਹਿ ਜਿੰਦੁ ਕਵਾਉ ॥

toon jaanoee sabhasai de laiseh jind kavaau |

You are the Knower of all; You give life, and take it away again with a word.

ਕਰਿ ਆਸਣੁ ਡਿਠੋ ਚਾਉ ॥੧॥

kar aasan ddittho chaau |1|

Seated within the creation, You behold it with delight. ||1||

ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਬਾਣੀ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਅਣੀਆਲੇ ਅਣੀਆ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਜੇ ॥

har prem baanee man maariaa aneeaale aneea raam raaje |

The Bani of the Lord's Love is the pointed arrow, which has pierced my mind, O Lord King.

ਜਿਸੁ ਲਾਗੀ ਪੀਰ ਪਿਰੰਮ ਕੀ ਸੋ ਜਾਣੈ ਜਰੀਆ ॥

jis laagee peer piram kee so jaanai jareea |

Only those who feel the pain of this love, know how to endure it.

ਜੀਵਨ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਸੋ ਆਖੀਐ ਮਰਿ ਜੀਵੈ ਮਰੀਆ ॥

jeevan mukat so aakheeai mar jeevai mareea |

Those who die, and remain dead while yet alive, are said to be Jivan Mukta, liberated while yet alive.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਗੁ ਦੁਤਰੁ ਤਰੀਆ ॥੨॥

jan naanak satigur mel har jag dutar tareea |2|

O Lord, unite servant Nanak with the True Guru, that he may cross over the terrifying world-ocean. ||2||

ਸਚੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਖੰਡ ਸਚੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡ ॥

sache tere khandd sache brahamandd |

True are Your worlds, True are Your solar Systems.

ਸਚੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਲੋਅ ਸਚੇ ਆਕਾਰ ॥

sache tere loa sache aakaar |

True are Your realms, True is Your creation.

ਸਚੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਕਰਣੇ ਸਰਬ ਬੀਚਾਰ ॥

sache tere karane sarab beechaar |

True are Your actions, and all Your deliberations.

ਸਚਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਅਮਰੁ ਸਚਾ ਦੀਬਾਣੁ ॥

sachaa teraa amar sachaa deebaan |

True is Your Command, and True is Your Court.

ਸਚਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਸਚਾ ਫੁਰਮਾਣੁ ॥

sachaa teraa hukam sachaa furamaan |

True is the Command of Your Will, True is Your Order.

ਸਚਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਕਰਮੁ ਸਚਾ ਨੀਸਾਣੁ ॥

sachaa teraa karam sachaa neesaan |

True is Your Mercy, True is Your Insignia.

ਸਚੇ ਤੁਧੁ ਆਖਹਿ ਲਖ ਕਰੋੜਿ ॥

sache tudh aakheh lakh karorr |

Hundreds of thousands and millions call You True.

ਸਚੈ ਸਭਿ ਤਾਣਿ ਸਚੈ ਸਭਿ ਜੋਰਿ ॥

sachai sabh taan sachai sabh jor |

In the True Lord is all power, in the True Lord is all might.

ਸਚੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਿਫਤਿ ਸਚੀ ਸਾਲਾਹ ॥

sachee teree sifat sachee saalaah |

True is Your Praise, True is Your Adoration.
