ਡੁਕਡੁਕੀ ਦਮੰਕੈ ਬਾਘ ਬਬੰਕੈ ਭੁਜਾ ਫਰੰਕੈ ਸੁਧ ਗਤੇ ॥

ddukaddukee damankai baagh babankai bhujaa farankai sudh gate |

Thy tampourine is being struck, Thy lion is roaring, Thy arms are quivering, O the Deity of Pure discipline!

ਜੈ ਜੈ ਹੋਸੀ ਮਹਿਖਾਸੁਰ ਮਰਦਨ ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਅਨਾਦਿ ਮਤੇ ॥੧੮॥੨੨੮॥

jai jai hosee mahikhaasur maradan aad jugaad anaad mate |18|228|

Hail, hail, O Slayer of Mahishasura! O Intellect-incarnate Deity from the very beginning, beginning of the ages and even without any beginning.18.228.

ਚਛਰਾਸੁਰ ਮਾਰਣਿ ਨਰਕ ਨਿਵਾਰਣਿ ਪਤਿਤ ਉਧਾਰਣਿ ਏਕ ਭਟੇ ॥

chachharaasur maaran narak nivaaran patit udhaaran ek bhatte |

Thou art the killer of the demon Chichhar, O unique warrior, Thou art the Protector from hell and the Liberator of the sinners.

ਪਾਪਾਨ ਬਿਹੰਡਣਿ ਦੁਸਟ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡਣਿ ਖੰਡ ਅਖੰਡਣਿ ਕਾਲ ਕਟੇ ॥

paapaan bihanddan dusatt prachanddan khandd akhanddan kaal katte |

Thou art the Destroyer of the sins, punisher of the tyrants, breaker of the unbreakable and even the chopper of Death.

ਚੰਦ੍ਰਾਨਨ ਚਾਰੇ ਨਰਕ ਨਿਵਾਰੇ ਪਤਿਤ ਉਧਾਰੇ ਮੁੰਡ ਮਥੇ ॥

chandraanan chaare narak nivaare patit udhaare mundd mathe |

Thy face is more winsome than moon, Thou art the Protector from hell and liberator of the sinners, O the masher of the demon Mund.

ਜੈ ਜੈ ਹੋਸੀ ਮਹਿਖਾਸੁਰ ਮਰਦਨ ਧੂਮ੍ਰ ਬਿਧੁੰਸਨਿ ਆਦਿ ਕਥੇ ॥੧੯॥੨੨੯॥

jai jai hosee mahikhaasur maradan dhoomr bidhunsan aad kathe |19|229|

Hail hail O Slayer of Mahishasura! O Destroyer of Dhumar Lochan, Thou hast been described as the Primal Deity. 19.229.

ਰਕਤਾਸੁਰ ਮਰਦਨ ਚੰਡ ਚਕਰਦਨ ਦਾਨਵ ਅਰਦਨ ਬਿੜਾਲ ਬਧੇ ॥

rakataasur maradan chandd chakaradan daanav aradan birraal badhe |

O Stayer of the demon Rakatvija, O the masher of the demon Chand, O the Destroyer of the demons and the killer of the demon Bridal.

ਸਰ ਧਾਰ ਬਿਬਰਖਣ ਦੁਰਜਨ ਧਰਖਣ ਅਤੁਲ ਅਮਰਖਣ ਧਰਮ ਧੁਜੇ ॥

sar dhaar bibarakhan durajan dharakhan atul amarakhan dharam dhuje |

Thou causest the rain of shafts and also makest the vicious people to swoon, Thou art the Deity of Immeasurable ire and Protector of the banner of Dharma.

ਧੂਮ੍ਰਾਛ ਬਿਧੁੰਸਨਿ ਸ੍ਰੌਣਤ ਚੁੰਸਨ ਸੁੰਭ ਨਪਾਤ ਨਿਸੁੰਭ ਮਥੇ ॥

dhoomraachh bidhunsan srauanat chunsan sunbh napaat nisunbh mathe |

O Destroyer of the demon Dhumar Lochan, O the blood-drinker of Rakatvija, O the killer and masher of the demon-king Nisumbh.

ਜੈ ਜੈ ਹੋਸੀ ਮਹਿਖਾਸੁਰ ਮਰਦਨ ਆਦਿ ਅਨੀਲ ਅਗਾਧ ਕਥੇ ॥੨੦॥੨੩੦॥

jai jai hosee mahikhaasur maradan aad aneel agaadh kathe |20|230|

Hail, hail, O slayer of Mahishasura, described as Primal, Stainless and Unfathomable. 20.230.

ਤੁਮ ਕਹੋ ਦੇਵ ਸਰਬੰ ਬਿਚਾਰ ॥

tum kaho dev saraban bichaar |

I relate to thee all the thoughts, O Gurudeva (Or O Gurudeva )

ਜਿਮ ਕੀਓ ਆਪ ਕਰਤੇ ਪਸਾਰ ॥

jim keeo aap karate pasaar |

Tell me all the musings) how the Creator created the expanse of the world?

ਜਦਪਿ ਅਭੂਤ ਅਨਭੈ ਅਨੰਤ ॥

jadap abhoot anabhai anant |

Although the Lord is Elementless, Fearless and Infinite, !

ਤਉ ਕਹੋ ਜਥਾ ਮਤ ਤ੍ਰੈਣ ਤੰਤ ॥੧॥੨੩੧॥

tau kaho jathaa mat train tant |1|231|

Then how did He extend the texture of this world? 1.231.

ਕਰਤਾ ਕਰੀਮ ਕਾਦਰ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ॥

karataa kareem kaadar kripaal |

He is the Doer, Beneficent, Mighty and Merciful !

ਅਦ੍ਵੈ ਅਭੂਤ ਅਨਭੈ ਦਿਆਲ ॥

advai abhoot anabhai diaal |

He is Non-dual, Non-Elemental, Fearless and Benign.

ਦਾਤਾ ਦੁਰੰਤ ਦੁਖ ਦੋਖ ਰਹਤ ॥

daataa durant dukh dokh rahat |

He is the Donor, Endless and devoid of sufferings and blemishes.!

ਜਿਹ ਨੇਤਿ ਨੇਤਿ ਸਭ ਬੇਦ ਕਹਤ ॥੨॥੨੩੨॥

jih net net sabh bed kahat |2|232|

All the Vedas call Him ‘Neti, Neti’ (Not this, Not thisl….Infinite).2.232.

ਕਈ ਊਚ ਨੀਚ ਕੀਨੋ ਬਨਾਉ ॥

kee aooch neech keeno banaau |

He hath Created many beings in upper and lower regions.!
