ਜੈਸੇ ਏਕ ਨਦ ਤੇ ਤਰੰਗ ਕੋਟ ਉਪਜਤ ਹੈਂ ਪਾਨ ਕੇ ਤਰੰਗ ਸਬੈ ਪਾਨ ਹੀ ਕਹਾਹਿਂਗੇ ॥

jaise ek nad te tarang kott upajat hain paan ke tarang sabai paan hee kahaahinge |

Just as from of waves are created on the surface of the big rivers and all the waves are called water.

ਤੈਸੇ ਬਿਸ੍ਵ ਰੂਪ ਤੇ ਅਭੂਤ ਭੂਤ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਹੁਇ ਤਾਹੀ ਤੇ ਉਪਜ ਸਬੈ ਤਾਹੀ ਮੈ ਸਮਾਹਿਂਗੇ ॥੧੭॥੮੭॥

taise bisv roop te abhoot bhoot pragatt hue taahee te upaj sabai taahee mai samaahinge |17|87|

Similarly the animate and inanimate objects come out of the Supreme Lord having been created from the same Lord, they merge in the same Lord. 17.87.

ਕੇਤੇ ਕਛ ਮਛ ਕੇਤੇ ਉਨ ਕਉ ਕਰਤ ਭਛ ਕੇਤੇ ਅਛ ਵਛ ਹੁਇ ਸਪਛ ਉਡ ਜਾਹਿਂਗੇ ॥

kete kachh machh kete un kau karat bhachh kete achh vachh hue sapachh udd jaahinge |

There are many a tortoise and fish and there are many who devour them there are many a winged phoenix, who always continue flying.

ਕੇਤੇ ਨਭ ਬੀਚ ਅਛ ਪਛ ਕਉ ਕਰੈਂਗੇ ਭਛ ਕੇਤਕ ਪ੍ਰਤਛ ਹੁਇ ਪਚਾਇ ਖਾਇ ਜਾਹਿਂਗੇ ॥

kete nabh beech achh pachh kau karainge bhachh ketak pratachh hue pachaae khaae jaahinge |

There are many who devour even the phonenix in the sky and there are many, who even eat and digest the materialized devourers.

ਜਲ ਕਹਾ ਥਲ ਕਹਾ ਗਗਨ ਕੇ ਗਉਨ ਕਹਾ ਕਾਲ ਕੇ ਬਨਾਇ ਸਬੈ ਕਾਲ ਹੀ ਚਬਾਹਿਂਗੇ ॥

jal kahaa thal kahaa gagan ke gaun kahaa kaal ke banaae sabai kaal hee chabaahinge |

Not only to speak of the residents of water, earth and wanders of the sky, all those created by god of death will ultimately be devoured ( destroyed) by him.

ਤੇਜ ਜਿਉ ਅਤੇਜ ਮੈ ਅਤੇਜ ਜੈਸੇ ਤੇਜ ਲੀਨ ਤਾਹੀ ਤੇ ਉਪਜ ਸਬੈ ਤਾਹੀ ਮੈ ਸਮਾਹਿਂਗੇ ॥੧੮॥੮੮॥

tej jiau atej mai atej jaise tej leen taahee te upaj sabai taahee mai samaahinge |18|88|

Just as the light merged in darkness and the darkness in the light all the created beings generated by the Lord will ultimately merge in Him. 18.88.

ਕੂਕਤ ਫਿਰਤ ਕੇਤੇ ਰੋਵਤ ਮਰਤ ਕੇਤੇ ਜਲ ਮੈਂ ਡੁਬਤ ਕੇਤੇ ਆਗ ਮੈਂ ਜਰਤ ਹੈਂ ॥

kookat firat kete rovat marat kete jal main ddubat kete aag main jarat hain |

Many cry out while wandering, many weep and many die many are drowned in water and many are burnt in fire.

ਕੇਤੇ ਗੰਗ ਬਾਸੀ ਕੇਤੇ ਮਦੀਨਾ ਮਕਾ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ਕੇਤਕ ਉਦਾਸੀ ਕੇ ਭ੍ਰਮਾਏ ਈ ਫਿਰਤ ਹੈਂ ॥

kete gang baasee kete madeenaa makaa nivaasee ketak udaasee ke bhramaae ee firat hain |

Many live on the banks of Ganges and many reside in Mecca and Medina, many becoming hermits, indulge in wanderings.

ਕਰਵਤ ਸਹਤ ਕੇਤੇ ਭੂਮਿ ਮੈ ਗਡਤ ਕੇਤੇ ਸੂਆ ਪੈ ਚੜ੍ਹਤ ਕੇਤੇ ਦੂਖ ਕਉ ਭਰਤ ਹੈਂ ॥

karavat sahat kete bhoom mai gaddat kete sooaa pai charrhat kete dookh kau bharat hain |

Many endure the agony of sawing, many get buried in the earth, many are hanged on the gallows and many undergo great angulish.

ਗੈਨ ਮੈਂ ਉਡਤ ਕੇਤੇ ਜਲ ਮੈਂ ਰਹਤ ਕੇਤੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਕੇ ਬਿਹੀਨ ਜਕ ਜਾਰੇ ਈ ਮਰਤ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੯॥੮੯॥

gain main uddat kete jal main rahat kete giaan ke biheen jak jaare ee marat hain |19|89|

Many fly in the sky, many lives in water and many without knowledge. In their waywardness burn themselves to death. 19.89.

ਸੋਧ ਹਾਰੇ ਦੇਵਤਾ ਬਿਰੋਧ ਹਾਰੇ ਦਾਨੋ ਬਡੇ ਬੋਧ ਹਾਰੇ ਬੋਧਕ ਪ੍ਰਬੋਧ ਹਾਰੇ ਜਾਪਸੀ ॥

sodh haare devataa birodh haare daano badde bodh haare bodhak prabodh haare jaapasee |

The gods got weary of making offerings of fragrances, the antagonistic demons have got weary, he knowledgeable sages have got weary and worshippers of good understanding have also got weary.

ਘਸ ਹਾਰੇ ਚੰਦਨ ਲਗਾਇ ਹਾਰੇ ਚੋਆ ਚਾਰੁ ਪੂਜ ਹਾਰੇ ਪਾਹਨ ਚਢਾਇ ਹਾਰੇ ਲਾਪਸੀ ॥

ghas haare chandan lagaae haare choaa chaar pooj haare paahan chadtaae haare laapasee |

Those who rub sandalwood have got tired, the appliers of fine scent (otto) have got tired, the image-worshippers have got tired and those making offerings of sweet curry, have also got tired.

ਗਾਹ ਹਾਰੇ ਗੋਰਨ ਮਨਾਇ ਹਾਰੇ ਮੜ੍ਹੀ ਮਟ ਲੀਪ ਹਾਰੇ ਭੀਤਨ ਲਗਾਇ ਹਾਰੇ ਛਾਪਸੀ ॥

gaah haare goran manaae haare marrhee matt leep haare bheetan lagaae haare chhaapasee |

The visitors of graveyards have got tired, the worshippers of hermitages and monuments have got tired those who besmear the walls images have got tired and those who print with embossing seal have also got tired.

ਗਾਇ ਹਾਰੇ ਗੰਧ੍ਰਬ ਬਜਾਏ ਹਾਰੇ ਕਿੰਨਰ ਸਭ ਪਚ ਹਾਰੇ ਪੰਡਤ ਤਪੰਤ ਹਾਰੇ ਤਾਪਸੀ ॥੨੦॥੯੦॥

gaae haare gandhrab bajaae haare kinar sabh pach haare panddat tapant haare taapasee |20|90|

Gandharvas, the musicians of goods have got tired, Kinnars, the players of musical instruments have got tired, the Pundits have got highly weary and the ascetics observing austerities have also got tired. None of the above-mentioned people have been able

ਤ੍ਵ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ਭੁਜੰਗ ਪ੍ਰਯਾਤ ਛੰਦ ॥

BY THY GRACE. BHUJANG PRAYAAT STANZA

ਨ ਰਾਗੰ ਨ ਰੰਗੰ ਨ ਰੂਪੰ ਨ ਰੇਖੰ ॥

n raagan na rangan na roopan na rekhan |

The Lord is without an affection, without colour, without form and without line.

ਨ ਮੋਹੰ ਨ ਕ੍ਰੋਹੰ ਨ ਦ੍ਰੋਹੰ ਨ ਦ੍ਵੈਖੰ ॥

n mohan na krohan na drohan na dvaikhan |

He without attachment, without anger, without deceit and without malice.

ਨ ਕਰਮੰ ਨ ਭਰਮੰ ਨ ਜਨਮੰ ਨ ਜਾਤੰ ॥

n karaman na bharaman na janaman na jaatan |

He is actionless, illusionless, birthless and casteless.

ਨ ਮਿਤ੍ਰੰ ਨ ਸਤ੍ਰੰ ਨ ਪਿਤ੍ਰੰ ਨ ਮਾਤੰ ॥੧॥੯੧॥

n mitran na satran na pitran na maatan |1|91|

He is sans friend, sans enemy, sans father and sans mother.1.91.

ਨ ਨੇਹੰ ਨ ਗੇਹੰ ਨ ਕਾਮੰ ਨ ਧਾਮੰ ॥

n nehan na gehan na kaaman na dhaaman |

He is without love, without home, without just and without home.
