ਭੂਤਾਂ ਇਲਾਂ ਕਾਗੀਂ ਗੋਸਤ ਭਖਿਆ ॥

bhootaan ilaan kaageen gosat bhakhiaa |

The ghosts, vultures and crows have eaten the flesh.

ਹੁੰਮੜ ਧੁੰਮੜ ਜਾਗੀ ਘਤੀ ਸੂਰਿਆਂ ॥੨੪॥

hunmarr dhunmarr jaagee ghatee sooriaan |24|

ਸਟ ਪਈ ਨਗਾਰੇ ਦਲਾਂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ॥

satt pee nagaare dalaan mukaabalaa |

The trumpet was beaten and the armies attack each other.

ਦਿਤੇ ਦੇਉ ਭਜਾਈ ਮਿਲਿ ਕੈ ਰਾਕਸੀਂ ॥

dite deo bhajaaee mil kai raakaseen |

The demons have gathered together and have caused the gods to flee.

ਲੋਕੀ ਤਿਹੀ ਫਿਰਾਹੀ ਦੋਹੀ ਆਪਣੀ ॥

lokee tihee firaahee dohee aapanee |

They exhibited their authority in the three worlds.

ਦੁਰਗਾ ਦੀ ਸਾਮ ਤਕਾਈ ਦੇਵਾਂ ਡਰਦਿਆਂ ॥

duragaa dee saam takaaee devaan ddaradiaan |

ਆਈ ਫੇਰ ਭਵਾਨੀ ਖਬਰੀ ਪਾਈਆ ॥

aaee fer bhavaanee khabaree paaeea |

The demons hear the news that the goddess Bhavani has come again.

ਦੈਤ ਵਡੇ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੀ ਹੋਏ ਏਕਠੇ ॥

dait vadde abhimaanee hoe ekatthe |

The highly egoist demons gathered together.

ਲੋਚਨ ਧੂਮ ਗੁਮਾਨੀ ਰਾਇ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ॥

lochan dhoom gumaanee raae bulaaeaa |

The king Sumbh sent for the egoist Lochan Dhum.

ਜਗ ਵਿਚ ਵਡਾ ਦਾਨੋ ਆਪ ਕਹਾਇਆ ॥

jag vich vaddaa daano aap kahaaeaa |

ਕੜਕ ਉਠੀ ਰਣ ਚੰਡੀ ਫਉਜਾਂ ਦੇਖ ਕੈ ॥

karrak utthee ran chanddee faujaan dekh kai |

Seeing the armies in the battlefield, Chandi shouted loudly.

ਧੂਹਿ ਮਿਆਨੋ ਖੰਡਾ ਹੋਈ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ॥

dhoohi miaano khanddaa hoee saahamane |

She pulled her double-edged sword from her scabbard and came before the enemy.

ਸਭੇ ਬੀਰ ਸੰਘਾਰੇ ਧੂਮਰਨੈਣ ਦੇ ॥

sabhe beer sanghaare dhoomaranain de |
