ਅਦੇਵ ਦੇਵ ਹੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਅਭੇਵ ਭੇਵ ਨਾਥ ਹੈਂ ॥

adev dev hain sadaa abhev bhev naath hain |

He is both god and demon, He is the Lord of both covert and overt.

ਸਮਸਤ ਸਿਧ ਬ੍ਰਿਧਿ ਦਾ ਸਦੀਵ ਸਰਬ ਸਾਥ ਹੈਂ ॥੧॥੧੬੧॥

samasat sidh bridh daa sadeev sarab saath hain |1|161|

He is the Donor of all powers and ever accompanies all. 1.161.

ਅਨਾਥ ਨਾਥ ਨਾਥ ਹੈਂ ਅਭੰਜ ਭੰਜ ਹੈਂ ਸਦਾ ॥

anaath naath naath hain abhanj bhanj hain sadaa |

He is the Patron of patronless and breaker of the Unbreakable.

ਅਗੰਜ ਗੰਜ ਗੰਜ ਹੈਂ ਸਦੀਵ ਸਿਧ ਬ੍ਰਿਧ ਦਾ ॥

aganj ganj ganj hain sadeev sidh bridh daa |

He is the Donor of treasure to treasureless and also Giver of power.

ਅਨੂਪ ਰੂਪ ਸਰੂਪ ਹੈਂ ਅਛਿਜ ਤੇਜ ਮਾਨੀਐਂ ॥

anoop roop saroop hain achhij tej maaneeain |

His form is unique and His Glory be considered invincible.

ਸਦੀਵ ਸਿਧ ਬੁਧਿ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਪਤ੍ਰ ਜਾਨੀਐਂ ॥੨॥੧੬੨॥

sadeev sidh budh daa prataap patr jaaneeain |2|162|

He is the chastiser of powers and is the Splendour-incarnate. 2.162.

ਨ ਰਾਗ ਰੰਗ ਰੂਪ ਹੈਂ ਨ ਰੋਗ ਰਾਗ ਰੇਖ ਹੈਂ ॥

n raag rang roop hain na rog raag rekh hain |

He is without affection, colour and form and without the ailment, attachment and sign.

ਅਦੋਖ ਅਦਾਗ ਅਦਗ ਹੈਂ ਅਭੂਤ ਅਭਰਮ ਅਭੇਖ ਹੈਂ ॥

adokh adaag adag hain abhoot abharam abhekh hain |

He is devoid of blemish, stain and traud, He is without element, illusion and guise.

ਨ ਤਾਤ ਮਾਤ ਜਾਤ ਹੈਂ ਨ ਪਾਤਿ ਚਿਹਨ ਬਰਨ ਹੈਂ ॥

n taat maat jaat hain na paat chihan baran hain |

He is without father, mother and caste and He is without lineage, mark and colour.

ਅਦੇਖ ਅਸੇਖ ਅਭੇਖ ਹੈਂ ਸਦੀਵ ਬਿਸੁ ਭਰਨ ਹੈਂ ॥੩॥੧੬੩॥

adekh asekh abhekh hain sadeev bis bharan hain |3|163|

He is Imperceptible, perfect and guiseless and is always the Sustainer of the Universe. 3.163.

ਬਿਸ੍ਵੰਭਰ ਬਿਸੁਨਾਥ ਹੈਂ ਬਿਸੇਖ ਬਿਸ੍ਵ ਭਰਨ ਹੈਂ ॥

bisvanbhar bisunaath hain bisekh bisv bharan hain |

He is the Creator and Master of the Universe and especially its Sustainer.

ਜਿਮੀ ਜਮਾਨ ਕੇ ਬਿਖੈ ਸਦੀਵ ਕਰਮ ਭਰਨ ਹੈਂ ॥

jimee jamaan ke bikhai sadeev karam bharan hain |

Within the earth and the universe, He is always engaged in actions.

ਅਦ੍ਵੈਖ ਹੈਂ ਅਭੇਖ ਹੈਂ ਅਲੇਖ ਨਾਥ ਜਾਨੀਐਂ ॥

advaikh hain abhekh hain alekh naath jaaneeain |

He is without malice, without guise, and is known as the Accountless Master.

ਸਦੀਵ ਸਰਬ ਠਉਰ ਮੈ ਬਿਸੇਖ ਆਨ ਮਾਨੀਐਂ ॥੪॥੧੬੪॥

sadeev sarab tthaur mai bisekh aan maaneeain |4|164|

He may especially be considered abiding for ever in all the places. 4.164.

ਨ ਜੰਤ੍ਰ ਮੈ ਨ ਤੰਤ੍ਰ ਮੈ ਨ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਬਸਿ ਆਵਈ ॥

n jantr mai na tantr mai na mantr bas aavee |

He is not within Yantras and tantras, He cannot be brought under control through Mantras.

ਪੁਰਾਨ ਔ ਕੁਰਾਨ ਨੇਤਿ ਨੇਤਿ ਕੈ ਬਤਾਵਈ ॥

puraan aau kuraan net net kai bataavee |

The Puranas and the Quran speak of Him as ‘Neti, Neti’ (infinite).

ਨ ਕਰਮ ਮੈ ਨ ਧਰਮ ਮੈ ਨ ਭਰਮ ਮੈ ਬਤਾਈਐ ॥

n karam mai na dharam mai na bharam mai bataaeeai |

He cannot be told within any Karmas, religions and illusions.

ਅਗੰਜ ਆਦਿ ਦੇਵ ਹੈ ਕਹੋ ਸੁ ਕੈਸ ਪਾਈਐ ॥੫॥੧੬੫॥

aganj aad dev hai kaho su kais paaeeai |5|165|

The Primal Lord is Indestructible, say, how can He be realized? 5.165.

ਜਿਮੀ ਜਮਾਨ ਕੇ ਬਿਖੈ ਸਮਸਤਿ ਏਕ ਜੋਤਿ ਹੈ ॥

jimee jamaan ke bikhai samasat ek jot hai |

Within all the earth and sky, there is only one Light.

ਨ ਘਾਟਿ ਹੈ ਨ ਬਾਢਿ ਹੈ ਨ ਘਾਟਿ ਬਾਢਿ ਹੋਤ ਹੈ ॥

n ghaatt hai na baadt hai na ghaatt baadt hot hai |

Which neither decreases nor increases in any being, It never decreases or increases.
