ਕਹਿ ਬਾਸ ਤਾਸ ਕਹਿ ਕਉਨ ਭੇਖ ॥

keh baas taas keh kaun bhekh |

Ubi vivit? Quid est vestis eius?

ਕਹਿ ਨਾਮ ਤਾਸ ਹੈ ਕਵਨ ਜਾਤ ॥

keh naam taas hai kavan jaat |

Quod est nomen eius? et quid est ordo ipsius?

ਜਿਹ ਸਤ੍ਰ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਨਹੀ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਭ੍ਰਾਤ ॥੮॥੨੩੮॥

jih satr mitr nahee putr bhraat |8|238|

Sine ullo hoste, amico, filio et fratre! 238

ਕਰੁਣਾ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਰੂਪ ॥

karunaa nidhaan kaaran saroop |

Ipse est thesaurus misericordiae et omnium causarum causa!

ਜਿਹ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਚਿਹਨ ਨਹੀ ਰੰਗ ਰੂਪ ॥

jih chakr chihan nahee rang roop |

Non habet signum, signum, colorem et formam

ਜਿਹ ਖੇਦ ਭੇਦ ਨਹੀ ਕਰਮ ਕਾਲ ॥

jih khed bhed nahee karam kaal |

Sine dolore est, actio et mors!

ਸਭ ਜੀਵ ਜੰਤ ਕੀ ਕਰਤ ਪਾਲ ॥੯॥੨੩੯॥

Ipse est sustentator omnium entium et creaturarum!9. 239

ਉਰਧੰ ਬਿਰਹਤ ਸੁਧੰ ਸਰੂਪ ॥

ਬੁਧੰ ਅਪਾਲ ਜੁਧੰ ਅਨੂਪ ॥

budhan apaal judhan anoop |

Intellectus immensus est et unicus in re militari

ਜਿਹ ਰੂਪ ਰੇਖ ਨਹੀ ਰੰਗ ਰਾਗ ॥

jih roop rekh nahee rang raag |

Est sine forma, linea, colore et affectu!

ਅਨਛਿਜ ਤੇਜ ਅਨਭਿਜ ਅਦਾਗ ॥੧੦॥੨੪੦॥

ਜਿਹ ਨੇਤਿ ਨੇਤਿ ਨਿਸ ਦਿਨ ਉਚਰੰਤ ॥
