ਇਕੁ ਕਵਾਉ ਪਸਾਉ ਕਰਿ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਕੀਆ ਪਾਸਾਰਾ ।
eik kavaau pasaau kar kudarat andar keea paasaaraa |The Lord’s one word (order) established and spread the whole nature in the form of the cosmos.
ਪੰਜਿ ਤਤ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ਕਰਿ ਚਹੁੰ ਖਾਣੀ ਵਿਚਿ ਸਭ ਵਰਤਾਰਾ ।
panj tat paravaan kar chahun khaanee vich sabh varataaraa |Making the five elements authentic (He) regularized the working of the four mines of origin (egg, fetus, sweat, vegetation) of life.
ਕੇਵਡੁ ਧਰਤੀ ਆਖੀਐ ਕੇਵਡੁ ਤੋਲੁ ਅਗਾਸ ਅਕਾਰਾ ।

ਕੇਵਡੁ ਪਵਣੁ ਵਖਾਣੀਐ ਕੇਵਡੁ ਪਾਣੀ ਤੋਲੁ ਵਿਥਾਰਾ ।
kevadd pavan vakhaaneeai kevadd paanee tol vithaaraa |How mush wider is air and what is the weight of water?
ਕੇਵਡੁ ਅਗਨੀ ਭਾਰੁ ਹੈ ਤੁਲਿ ਨ ਤੁਲੁ ਅਤੋਲੁ ਭੰਡਾਰਾ ।
kevadd aganee bhaar hai tul na tul atol bhanddaaraa |How mush is the mass of fire cannot be estimated. The stores of that Lord cannot be counted and weighed.
ਕੇਵਡੁ ਆਖਾ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰਾ ।੧।
kevadd aakhaa sirajanahaaraa |1|When His creation can not be counted how can one know how great the Creator is.
ਚਉਰਾਸੀਹ ਲਖ ਜੋਨਿ ਵਿਚਿ ਜਲੁ ਥਲੁ ਮਹੀਅਲੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਣਸਾਰਾ ।

ਇਕਸਿ ਇਕਸਿ ਜੋਨਿ ਵਿਚਿ ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਅਗਣਤ ਅਪਾਰਾ ।
eikas ikas jon vich jeea jant aganat apaaraa |In each species innumerable creatures are there.
ਸਾਸਿ ਗਿਰਾਸਿ ਸਮਾਲਦਾ ਕਰਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡ ਕਰੋੜਿ ਸੁਮਾਰਾ ।
saas giraas samaaladaa kar brahamandd karorr sumaaraa |Having created myriad universe He provides sustenance for them.
ਰੋਮ ਰੋਮ ਵਿਚਿ ਰਖਿਓਨੁ ਓਅੰਕਾਰ ਅਕਾਰੁ ਵਿਥਾਰਾ ।
rom rom vich rakhion oankaar akaar vithaaraa |In each particle that Lord has extended Himself.
ਸਿਰਿ ਸਿਰਿ ਲੇਖ ਅਲੇਖੁ ਦਾ ਲੇਖ ਅਲੇਖ ਉਪਾਵਣੁਹਾਰਾ ।
sir sir lekh alekh daa lekh alekh upaavanuhaaraa |On the forehead of each creature are written his accounts; Only that creator is beyond all accounts and counts.
ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਕਵਣੁ ਕਰੈ ਵੀਚਾਰਾ ।੨।

ਕੇਵਡੁ ਸਤੁ ਸੰਤੋਖੁ ਹੈ ਦਯਾ ਧਰਮੁ ਤੇ ਅਰਥੁ ਵੀਚਾਰਾ ।
kevadd sat santokh hai dayaa dharam te arath veechaaraa |How great are the truth, contentment, compassion, dharma, the meaning (of a concept) and its further elaboration?
ਕੇਵਡੁ ਕਾਮੁ ਕਰੋਧੁ ਹੈ ਕੇਵਡੁ ਲੋਭੁ ਮੋਹੁ ਅਹੰਕਾਰਾ ।
kevadd kaam karodh hai kevadd lobh mohu ahankaaraa |How much is the expansion of lust, anger, greed and infatuation?
ਕੇਵਡੁ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਵਖਾਣੀਐ ਕੇਵਡੁ ਰੂਪੁ ਰੰਗੁ ਪਰਕਾਰਾ ।
kevadd drisatt vakhaaneeai kevadd roop rang parakaaraa |Visitors are of many kind and how many are forms and their hues?
ਕੇਵਡੁ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਸਲਾਹੀਐ ਕੇਵਡੁ ਸਬਦੁ ਵਿਥਾਰੁ ਪਸਾਰਾ ।

kevadd vaas nivaas hai kevadd gandh sugandh achaaraa |How many are the founts of flavor and what is the working of various fragrances?
ਕੇਵਡੁ ਰਸ ਕਸ ਆਖੀਅਨਿ ਕੇਵਡੁ ਸਾਦ ਨਾਦ ਓਅੰਕਾਰਾ ।
kevadd ras kas aakheean kevadd saad naad oankaaraa |Nothing can be told about the edible delights and inedible.
ਅੰਤੁ ਬਿਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਰਾਵਾਰਾ ।੩।
ant biant na paaraavaaraa |3|His expanse is infinite and beyond description.
ਕੇਵਡੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਆਖੀਐ ਕੇਵਡੁ ਹਰਖੁ ਸੋਗੁ ਵਿਸਥਾਰਾ ।
kevadd dukh sukh aakheeai kevadd harakh sog visathaaraa |What is the ambit of suffering and pleasure, happiness and sorrow?
ਕੇਵਡੁ ਸਚੁ ਵਖਾਣੀਐ ਕੇਵਡੁ ਕੂੜੁ ਕਮਾਵਣਹਾਰਾ ।
kevadd sach vakhaaneeai kevadd koorr kamaavanahaaraa |How can the truth be described and how to say about the count of liars?
ਕੇਵਡੁ ਰੁਤੀ ਮਾਹ ਕਰਿ ਦਿਹ ਰਾਤੀ ਵਿਸਮਾਦੁ ਵੀਚਾਰਾ ।

kevadd aakhaan bhaau bhau saant sahaj upakaar vikaaraa |What could be told about love, fear, peace, equipoise, altruism and evil propensities?
ਤੋਲੁ ਅਤੋਲੁ ਨ ਤੋਲਣਹਾਰਾ ।੪।
tol atol na tolanahaaraa |4|These all are infinite and none can know about them.
ਕੇਵਡੁ ਤੋਲੁ ਸੰਜੋਗੁ ਦਾ ਕੇਵਡੁ ਤੋਲੁ ਵਿਜੋਗੁ ਵੀਚਾਰਾ ।
kevadd tol sanjog daa kevadd tol vijog veechaaraa |How to think about the periphery of meeting (Sanjog) and separation (vijog), because meeting and separation is part of a continuous process among the creatures.
ਕੇਵਡੁ ਹਸਣੁ ਆਖੀਐ ਕੇਵਡੁ ਰੋਵਣ ਦਾ ਬਿਸਥਾਰਾ ।

kevadd kudarat aakheeai ikadoon kudarat lakh apaaraa |Nature is indescribable because in it one extends to millions and millions.
ਦਾਨੈ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਨਾ ਪਵੈ ਕੇਵਡੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਦੇਵਣਹਾਰਾ ।
daanai keemat naa pavai kevadd daataa devanahaaraa |The evaluation of that (great) Giver cannot be done and nothing can be told about His expansion.
ਅਕਥ ਕਥਾ ਅਬਿਗਤਿ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਾ ।੫।

ਲਖ ਚਉਰਾਸੀਹ ਜੂਨਿ ਵਿਚਿ ਮਾਣਸ ਜਨਮੁ ਦੁਲੰਭੁ ਉਪਾਇਆ ।
lakh chauraaseeh joon vich maanas janam dulanbh upaaeaa |Among the eighty-four lacs of births, the human life is the rare one.
ਚਾਰਿ ਵਰਨ ਚਾਰਿ ਮਜਹਬਾਂ ਹਿੰਦੂ ਮੁਸਲਮਾਣ ਸਦਾਇਆ ।
chaar varan chaar majahabaan hindoo musalamaan sadaaeaa |This human got divided into four varnas and dharmas as also into Hindu and Musalman.
ਕਿਤੜੇ ਪੁਰਖ ਵਖਾਣੀਅਨਿ ਨਾਰਿ ਸੁਮਾਰਿ ਅਗਣਤ ਗਣਾਇਆ ।

ਚਾਰਿ ਵਰਨ ਛਿਅ ਦਰਸਨਾਂ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਬੇਦ ਪੁਰਾਣੁ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ ।

sikhaa sootr maalaa tilak pitar karam dev karam kamaaeaa |Hairknot, sacred thread, rosary, (sandal) mark on forehead, last rites for ancestors, rituals for gods are (also) prescribed in it.
ਪੁੰਨ ਦਾਨ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਦਿੜਾਇਆ ।੭।

ਪੀਰ ਪਿਕੰਬਰ ਅਉਲੀਏ ਗਉਸ ਕੁਤਬ ਵਲੀਉਲਹ ਜਾਣੇ ।
